Kazimierz World Wine Bar, Scottsdale Arizona

3,200 wines!  Seriously!  Kazimierz is not that easy to find, you have to look for it.  The only signage reads “The Truth is Inside”  There are no windows.  Inside, the walls are all stone, it’s made to feel like you are inside a wine cellar. Get ready to spend some money if you want the full experience.  Wine flights, chocolate fondue, mozzarella salads for 4 could easily end up over $300.  Although if you’re more frugal you can get by without breaking the bank. They have live jazz too.  But mainly it’s all about the wine.  This is a serious wine drinkers wine bar.  Kazimierz  has been awarded the Wine Spectators Award of Excellence 7 years in a row.

Armitage at DC Ranch, Scottsdale Arizona

My first experience at Armitage DC Ranch was the Titus Vineyards wine tasting on November 11th.  My first impression was that Armitage is smaller than I thought, which is perfectly fine with me.  That makes it cozier and more personal.  I like the interior decor with the hardwood floors, leather couches, wooden bar stools, granite bar– kind of upscale-rustic. The staff was friendly and helpful.  The way the wine tastings work at Armitage is that you can either pay $10 for the tasting, or you can buy $10 of food and the wine tasting is free.  I highly recommend going with the second option!  The appetizers are AWESOME!  and HUGE!  I had the bruschetta and the baked ravioli and I was stuffed.  Overall?  Armitage at DC Ranch is worth the drive, I will be going there again, and soon 🙂
